Practice Accountant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the junior accountants. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to join our growing practice and progress into a management position. The candidate will be able to utilise their expertise in financial management and accounting software within a dynamic environment. Duties

Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational policies.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.

Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledger entries.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards.

Mentor junior team members or interns where applicable, fostering professional development within the department.

Qualifications

Proven experience in financial accounting or related roles within the financial services sector.

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage cloud, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent platforms.

Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.

Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger management.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Proficiency in Sage cloud accounting software is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities

Requirements.
