Our Story

In 1987 Judy Young had a vision for an accountancy business that would provide the necessary support to enable local firms not just to survive but to thrive. Accounting and Computing Services was born and quickly became a cherished feature of the Christchurch and Bournemouth local business community. Since then, our business has evolved, and we now provide online accountancy and financial services nationwide, while retaining our commitment to provide you with the quality of service and personal touch that you have come to expect from a trusted local business partner.

 

In 2017 we rebranded, becoming Ledgers, and invested in updating our business premises to increase our facilities to serve you better. In 2024, we brought in new expertise to ensure that we are equipped to offer you a comprehensive range of services and support, all under one, trusted roof. Our range of financial services includes business funding, mortgages, pensions, R&D grants, and much, much more. As the tax landscape changes and HMRC transitions to Making Tax Digital, we have been early adopters of cloud computing, developing our expertise in this exciting new field.

 

Sadly, in 2025 we lost our founder, Judy. But the foundations she laid and the ethos she instilled in all of us remain at the core of everything we do. Big changes may be coming to the tax system, but at Ledgers, we are ready, and if you are with us, you are ready too.
